College of William & Mary Memorial to the Enslaved

HG provided landscape architecture and civil engineering services for Hearth, a new memorial to African Americans enslaved by William & Mary. Working in partnership with Baskervill, HG designed a plaza at the memorial and a small amphitheater-like earthen mound with inset seat walls, all enclosed by a canopy of mature trees.
