New Post on the Rappahannock

HG Design Studio provided diverse design services for this client, including branding and logo development for the subdivision. We conducted a charrette with stakeholders to assist with the community’s marketing targets, and translated findings and data compiled into graphics, presentations and ultimately into the development’s amenities, streetscapes, main and ancillary entrance designs and pedestrian connections. New Post on the Rappahannock is a mixed-use millennial targeted community located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. HG created comprehensive and detailed drawings for multiple projects for the site across assorted property types and price points, making sure the design intent was woven over the sizeable development.

The focus of the residential piece of the community is along Premier Street. This road serves as the access to the community’s mixed-use neighborhoods and commercial development. As the landscape architect for this project, HG navigated VDOT coordination and designed the community entry columns and pavilion feature along with the project identification signs located at the intersection of Tidewater Trail and Mills Drive. Recreational design is another area in which HG is participating in creating and building. A neighborhood pool, boat slip, pergola and outdoor gathering and picnic areas are an important part of the developer’s vision and the residential community, and HG is producing plans for all site amenities.
